Privacy Policy
This policy explains what FileConvertFast (fileconvertfast.com) does with your data. In short: we keep as little as possible, for as short a time as possible.
Files you process
- Many image tools (compress, resize, convert, crop, rotate for JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP) run entirely in your browser. Those files are never uploaded.
- PDF tools and other formats are processed on our server. Uploads and results are stored in a temporary folder and deleted automatically 5 minutes after you download the result, or 30 minutes after processing at the latest.
- We do not read, share, sell or keep copies of your files.
Account data
If you create an account we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password (never the password itself). If you sign in with Google, Facebook or SSO we receive your name, email address and an account ID from that provider. While signed in, we keep a list of your last 50 jobs: tool, file name and number of files—never the files. You can delete your account and this history at any time from the account page.
Cookies
We set one essential cookie to keep you signed in and protect forms against misuse. Our advertising partner, Google, also uses cookies and similar technologies on this site, as described below. We do not use analytics cookies.
Advertising
FileConvertFast is free because it shows ads from Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, and opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown.
Ads never see your files: files are processed separately and deleted as described above. Ads are not shown on sign-in, account or error pages.
We only email you when you ask for it, for example a password-reset link.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. It is stored on our hosting provider’s servers, which process it only to run the service. Our advertising partner Google processes data such as your IP address and cookie identifiers to show and measure ads; see the Advertising section above.
Your rights
You can view and update your details on the account page, and delete your account there. Deleting it removes your personal data and job history.
